The highest and longest Qinghai-Tibet Railway on the roof of the world will launch its eye-catching trial operation this July. How about the expectations of people?

Nyima Tsering is a guide. As Tibetan guides are, he is inquisitive that, whether the state government will set up a travel company of Qinghai-Tibet Railway or not. "I can't foresee the influence to the local tour guides taken by such travel company," he said, and hoped to participate into the railway tourism.

Old man Galsang Tenzin's anxiety is the train. Is there any sick reaction when takes a train? Are these marks on the train written in Tibetan? Can we meet Tibetan trainmen?

As a businessman in Lhasa, Li Hui from Fujian Province shows higher care on the economic development around the Lhasa Railway Station. "The government may sketch out the economic development or make some policies for the business investment, but I don't know." However, places around the Lhasa Railway Station are still fat to bring more commercial benefit in Liu's eyes.

Policeman Zhaba Konjo is worried about the public security when Tibet is linked with outside, and reporter Phurbu Tashi wonders the influence to the goods price on Lhasa markets.

Taking with unknownness, reporter of Economic Information Daily had interviews with related departments.

According to the railway department, travel company of Qinghai-Tibet Railway will be set up and mainly undertake the joint cooperation with travel agencies. Related railway official expressed that, the railway was to resolve the communication barrier. No competition would exist, he said.

Referring to the sick reactions during the train trip, the railway department told that, devices offering enough oxygen were fixed on the trains to avoid the oxygen lack and other sickness. Not only the Tibetan marks, radio announcement of railway stations is also in Tibetan. According to the railway department, Tibetans could undertake the train attendants.

Lhasa government has framed a scheme to build a zone called "Newu New Zone" to assemble the tourism, post, public traffic, hotels and restaurants around the Lhasa Railway Station, sources from related department when referred to local economic development.

Railway department also pledged that, railway public security department would take concerted action with local public security departments to ensure the trip safety.

Influence of goods price on Lhasa markets is another focus among locals. A drop trend can be foreseen because of the fallen transport cost when the Qinghai-Tibet Railway runs through.
